Do Crew get paid?

💸 Yes! We pay all our people on an hourly rate as 1099 contractors.

How much do they get paid?

💵 Rates vary depending on event role, but we pay at or above a living wage in all our cities.

How can I join Crew?

👩‍💻 It’s easy! Apply here.

Our team will verify your Crew Profile (this takes just a day or two) and let you know when you’re good to go. And after that…. we’re rolling! We’ll walk you through Crew Training, so you’ve got everything you need to make shows happen. You’ll then start getting offers to work shows.

What event roles can I play?

👷‍♀️ Event Lead: responsible for the smooth end-to-end running of the show.

👷‍♂️ Event Assistant: supports Event Lead in various tasks across the course of the night.

📣 MC: guides the audience through the evening, introducing both the presenting activist and artists.

🔊 Audio Engineer: works with the artists and activists in advance of the show and on the night to make sure their setup sounds incredible.

📸 Photographer/ Videographer: captures the magic of the experience on the night to be shared later by everyone who attended.

How do crew offers work?

💰 Once you complete Crew Training, you’ll start getting offers to work shows.

What kind of training do you offer?

🏋️‍♂️ Everyone who joins Crew will receive basic event training so they can work events as an Event Assistant. As you gain experience and skills, you will unlock training for other event roles. If you already have specific technical skills, some of that training is automatically open for you.

How often will I work?

🎟 As often as you’d like! Make sure to keep your availability up to date in your Crew Profile and keep an eye out for Event Offers sent via email.

When will I get paid?

💵 We’ll email you within 48 hours of your performance for you to claim your payment. We process payments through Stripe.

What happens if I need to cancel my show?

❌ Life happens sometimes, and you need to cancel. We hope this doesn't happen, but if it does, please do so in your event dashboard as soon as possible, so it doesn't jeopardize the event. Regular cancellations will mean you’re less likely to receive offers in the future.

I'm working a show as a Crew Member, can I bring a friend?

🚫 You cannot bring a guest to an event that you are working as a Crew Member. We need everyone on-site on top of their game to best support our Artists, Hosts, Voters, and presenting activists for the evening. As a Crew Member, you will get free tickets to other shows that you can use to bring friends along and enjoy the evening without worrying about running the night.
