Host + Venue FAQs

What kind of Venues do you host shows in?

🏡 We have events in various venues — from homes and apartments to co-working spaces, rooftops, breweries, and galleries. You never know where you’ll end up! We focus on spaces that are not conventionally used for live music events because life's more interesting that way.

What's the difference between a Venue and a Host?

🎉 A Venue is a place; a Host is a person! We draw the distinction both because some of our Hosts manage multiple Venues and so that we can recognize and celebrate the person behind the place.

Do you pay Hosts?

💸 Yes! You can set your rates in your Venue Profile(s).

Why else should I host a show?
  1. 🙆‍♀️ We're bringing new people into your space who may never have stepped foot in there before. These events are an excellent opportunity to turn our audiences into your supporters and customers.
  2. ❤️ Our events are about bringing people together around the causes they care about to create real change with others. If that idea resonates with you, you'll hopefully find the night itself both fun and meaningful.
How can I Host a show?

👩‍💻 It’s easy! Apply here and add your first venue. Our team will verify your account and space (this takes just a day or two), then you’ll get a final email to confirm you’re good to go.

Will the event be filmed?

📸 While we don't typically record performances, we do photograph them. There is a professional photographer at every show to capture the show and your space. You'll get access to the photos afterward via Event Management.

Will my space be safe?
Will it be loud?

🔇 Artists generally play a stripped-back set, so the noise level keeps at a minimum, with shows ending around 10:30 p.m. We don’t expect your neighbors to complain, but better yet — invite them to enjoy the evening!

Can i invite my friends?

👯‍♀️ Of course! We always reserve a few spots for the host to invite guests. You can add these people to the guest list directly in your Event Management.

When will I get paid?

💵 We’ll email you within 48 hours of your performance for you to claim your payment. We process payments through Stripe.

What happens if I need to cancel my show?

❌ Life happens sometimes, and you need to cancel. We hope this doesn't happen, but if it does, please do so in your event dashboard as soon as possible, so it doesn't jeopardize the event. Regular cancellations will mean you’re less likely to receive offers in the future.
